How to FaceTime With an Email
By Micah McDunnigan
Apple desktops and laptops use your email address for FaceTime, but iPhones give you the option of using either your phone number or an email address of your choosing to receive FaceTime. You can set your device to use the email you use for your Apple ID, or any other email address you prefer, through the iPhone Settings.
iOS
Step 1
Tap the Settings icon, tap "FaceTime" and then tap "Use your Apple ID for FaceTime."
Step 2
Enter your Apple ID email address and password into the corresponding fields on the next screen and then tap "Sign In." Tap "Next" on the subsequent confirmation screen.
Step 3
Tap "Add Another Email" under "You can be reached by FaceTime at" if you want to use a different email than your Apple ID for FaceTime. This is unnecessary if you just want to use your Apple ID email.
