How to Expand Fields in Acrobat
By Joshua Phillips
Created using Adobe Acrobat and often used for technical and software manuals, Portable Document Format (PDF) files have become one of the standards used to relay information. Often, while creating a PDF document, you may find the information you wish to put into a field is larger than the field itself, cutting off vital information. You may expand the field to accommodate your entire entry by having Acrobat automatically expand to fit the entry.
Select "Layout" from the menu at the top of Acrobat.
Click the box located next to "Expand to Fit."
Click "OK" to save your changes. Your fields should now automatically expand to the length and width of the information being typed in.
