How to Enlarge Solitaire Cards on a Computer
By Shawn McClain
Windows 7 comes with many small games, including Solitaire, which has been included in a number of Windows versions. When you launch the game, the numbers on the cards can be difficult to see, especially if you make the window as small as possible or if you have bad eyesight. While you can't make the actual cards bigger, as there is only a small amount of playing space, you can make the images on the cards much bigger, enabling almost anyone to identify each card as it comes out.
Click the Start button in the lower-left corner of your Windows 7 desktop. Click "All Programs," then "Games" and finally "Solitaire." The game will launch in a small window.
Click "Game" at the top of the "Solitaire" window. Choose "Change Appearance" from the drop-down menu.
Click on "Large Print Deck" from the list of decks at the top of the screen. Click "OK," and the values and suits on your cards will be much bigger.
- To quickly access the "Change Appearance" menu, press "F7."
