How to Enable a Webcam on an ASUS
By Jason Taetsch
The webcam included on the display of your Asus computer allows you to record videos and pictures to your desktop. You can also video conference with friends and family. While the webcam is native to the computer, Asus does not include software to manage the functions of the hardware. Windows includes the Movie Maker utility that has the necessary software to enable the webcam so you can capture content directly to your hard drive.
Click "Start" and type "Movie Maker" into the search bar.
Click the "Windows Live Movie Maker" option to launch the program's interface.
Click "Webcam Video" to turn on the webcam and an image from the camera will appear in the program's window.
Click the "Record" button to capture video, or click the "Snapshot" button to take a quick digital photo. The pictures and video will appear in the "All Captured Content" section of the Movie Maker window.
