How to Enable Remote Desktop in ActiveX

by Mikhail Polenin

Microsoft Remote Desktop allows you to connect to another computer and view its desktop as if you were sitting right in front of the system. You aren't limited only to the "Remote Desktop Connection" application, but you also have the capability to connect to another computer through your Web browser. To do this, you must first enable the Remote Desktop ActiveX control on Internet Explorer. You cannot use Remote Desktop on any other browser.

Open Internet Explorer and click "Tools."

Click the "Manage Add-Ons" menu option.

Click "Enable or Disable Add-Ons."

Scroll down to "Microsoft Terminal Services Client Control," right-click it and click "Enable."
