How to Enable a Camera on Chatroulette (4 Steps)

Chatroulette is an online video chat service that randomly connects you with other video chatters from around the world. To be seen by other users on the Chatroulette website, you'll need to enable your computer's webcamera so you can be captured on video and that data streamed to your chat partner. You can enable a camera on Chatroulette by following a few steps.

Step 1

Visit the Chatroulette website.

Step 2

Hover your mouse over the black video box, which should be empty of any video.

Step 3

Click the drop-down box titled "No camera," and enable your camera by clicking "Default camera."

Step 4

Click the "Allow" button on the Flash box that appears. Your camera is now enabled for Chatroulette. Click "Start" to begin chatting.
