How to Download YouTube for Later Viewing

YouTube is one of the most popular video sharing sites online. Users have the option of creating an account so they can save videos to watch later. But YouTube doesn't offer a feature to download videos. Many software programs and online resources are available to help users download and save YouTube videos to their computers. Any downloaded material should not violate copyright of its creator and should be for personal use only.

Download a video from YouTube with RealPlayer Downloader. RealPlayer Downloader comes bundled with the Real Player media player and the RealPlayer Converter. This software actually integrates into the Web browser. The software works with Internet Explorer, Firefox, Chrome and Safari. When you watch a video on YouTube, a "Download This Video" notification tab will appear on the top-right of the playing video. Click on the notification to download YouTube videos to the computer. In addition, you can drag the downloaded video into the RealPlayer Converter interface and convert the FLV file into another format such as MP4, which is compatible with iPod and PSP.
