How to Download Videos to a Computer From a Samsung Digital Camcorder
By Julius Vandersteen
After you shoot videos with a Samsung digital camcorder, you may want to download them to a computer so you can view them on a large screen with your friends and family. Other reasons to transfer videos to your computer are so you can edit them into a movie project, burn them to a DVD, post them on a video-sharing website, or email clips to a friend.
Step 1
Touch the "Menu" tab on the camcorder, then touch "Connectivity Setting," and then "USB Connect." Select "Mass Storage" so you can plug the camcorder into a computer and browse its contents like a mass storage device.
Step 2
Connect the built-in USB plug on the Samsung digital camcorder to a USB port on your computer, or plug one end of the camera's included USB cable into a port on the camera, and the other end to a USB port on your computer if your camera doesn't have a built-in USB plug. An icon representing the camcorder as a mass storage device will appear on your desktop.
Step 3
Double-click on the camcorder icon on the computer desktop to open it. Browse for the folder named "Video," and then open it.
Step 4
Drag the video files from the camcorder's folder to a folder on your computer to copy them.
