How to Download Scribd Without the Print & Download Option
By Shawn Farner
Scribd is an online service that allows you to store documents on the Web, or view documents stored with the Scribd service. Using the service, you might get the impression that the only way to download a file on Scribd for your own use is by using the "Print & Download" option. However, Scribd does have a download method that allows you to download a copy of the document to your hard drive without printing.
Step 1
Visit the Scribd website, then open the document you want to download by clicking on it or searching for it using the search box at the top of the screen.
Step 2
Click the green "Download" button at the bottom right-hand corner of the screen.
Step 3
Click the radio button next to the type of file format you'd like the document downloaded in. You can choose between PDF and TXT (text).
Step 4
Click the "Download Now" button and choose a location to save the document. It will be saved to your hard drive without the need to print.
