How to Download Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
By Erin McManaway
Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint are programs that come packaged in the Microsoft Office software suite. Word allows you to create word-processing documents while Excel is a spreadsheet-creation program. PowerPoint offers the tools to create high-quality slide show presentations. You can download the Office Home and Student 2010, which includes Word, Excel and PowerPoint, for a free 60-day trial. Once the trial ends, you will need to purchase the license to continue using each program. You must have a Windows Live account to download the software suite.
Go to the Microsoft Office Home and Student 2010 Web page, and click "Try Free for 60 Days."
Log in to the website using your Windows Live Account.
Confirm your software order in the Web page shopping cart. This will take you to the download page.
Record the product key from the download page. You will need this key to activate your software during installation.
Click the "Download Now" button to download Microsoft Office Home and Student 2010. Once the download is complete, you can double-click the file to launch installation.
