How to Download Your Global Address Book With Outlook Web Access
By Randall Blackburn
If your email account is configured so that you can use Outlook Web Access, or OWA, to send and receive email, you can also use the Web-based application to download your global address book. You can download only the contact information for each contact from your global address book, or you can download all details and notes for each contact using the tools provided in the OWA Web interface.
Step 1
Open Outlook Web Access in a Web browser, and log in with your email address and password. Microsoft recommends using Internet Explorer to use Outlook Web Access.
Step 2
Click the “Tools” option on the left side of the top navigation bar, and then click “Send/Receive.” The Send/Receive submenu opens.
Step 3
Click the “Download Address Book” from the submenu. The Offline Address Book dialog box launches.
Step 4
Check the check box next to the “Download Changes Since Last Send/Receive” option.
Step 5
Click the radio button next to the “Full Details” option to download all notes and details with each contact. Click the “No Details” option to download only the contact and their contact information.
Step 6
Click the “Choose Address Book” drop-down box, and then click the “Global Address List” option.
Step 7
Click “OK.” The Global Address Book is downloaded and saved to your computer.
