How to Download Album Covers for an iPhone
By Shawn Farner
For many music fans, the album artwork is as much a part of the experience as the music. When playing a song on the iPhone that doesn't have album art attached, it detracts from the feeling that you're listening to one part of a larger collection. That's why Apple included a feature in iTunes to automatically download album artwork for songs that are missing these images. By using this feature and syncing your iPhone, you'll be able to replace the album art and get the full album listening experience on your device.
Step 1
Open the iTunes software, and click on "Music" in the left sidebar.
Step 2
Click the "Advanced" menu option at the top of the iTunes application, and then click "Get Album Artwork." This feature scans through your iTunes library and automatically downloads and inserts album art into songs that don't already have it. When the process is complete, move on.
Step 3
Plug the 30-pin connector of the iPhone USB cable into the bottom of your iPhone, and plug the other end into an available USB port on your computer.
Step 4
Click the "Sync Now" button if your iPhone does not automatically sync itself. After the sync completes, the songs on your iPhone should now have the appropriate album cover images.
