How to Download Adobe Acrobat Reader 5.0

Adobe Acrobat Reader 5.0 is a software application created by the Adobe company in order to read, edit and create PDF documents. PDF files are rich in text and Acrobat Reader 5.0 can help you work with these specific file types. Downloading is relatively easy and works with most standard operating systems. It can take anywhere from two to 10 minutes for complete installation, and the 5.0 version is free. Saving your installation to your desktop leaves it available for easy future use.

Step 1

Visit the CNET page (see Resources) to begin the download for Adobe Acrobat Reader 5.0. Click on the language of your preference. Make sure your current operating system is compatible.

Step 2

Click on "download the latest version" and let this run on your computer. Allow your installation to start booting. Choose a location to store your Acrobat 5.0 download.

Step 3

Wait for the installation to complete. Click on "Run" to process the last stage of the Acrobat 5.0 installation.

Register your installation. Enter your name, address and computer type on the registration form.
