How do I Convert MS Word Symbol Font to Arial?
By Ryan Cole
The world of word processing and desktop publishing has many different fonts. The Symbol font uses the letters of the Greek alphabet instead of the more familiar letters of the Latin alphabet. Greek letters are useful if your document is about physics or advanced mathematics, but Symbol tends to be incomprehensible as a general use font. The Arial font is one of many that are much more readable. You can easily convert between different fonts in word processing applications like MS Word.
Microsoft Word 2007 and 2010
Step 1
Select the text that you want to convert into Arial font.
Step 2
Click the "Home" tab, then the down-pointing triangle next to the drop-down menu that lists all the fonts. You can also click on the lower-right corner of the "Font" group to open a pop-up window.
Step 3
Scroll through the font list until you find "Arial". Click on it. If you're in the pop-up window, click "OK."
