How Do I Test the Color Printing on My Printer?
By Stephen Lilley
When you connect your printer to a computer running the Microsoft Windows operating system, you will always have the ability to print a "test" page at any time. These test pages will allow you to see the capabilities of your color printer in action, and give you an idea what to expect when you start printing actual documents that you've created. Printing a test page can be done in just a few seconds.
Make sure your color printer is connected to your computer and is turned on.
Click "Start."
Click "Printers and Other Hardware" in Windows XP, and then click "View installed printers or fax printers." In Windows Vista or Windows 7, click "Printers."
Locate the icon for your color printer in the window that appears. Once you find the icon, right-click it and select "Properties."
Click the "General" tab, and then click "Print Test Page" to print a color test page from the printer you selected.
