With the demise of the typewriter, computer users need to find a better way to print their envelopes. One of the easiest ways to make sure all of your mailings look professional is to print a sheet of labels and use those labels for your mailing needs.

Step 1

Log on to your computer and open your word processing program. Open a new document.

Step 2

Click on the "Tools" menu and choose "Letters and Mailings" from the menu. Click on "Envelopes and Labels."

Step 3

Click on the "Labels" tab and click the "Label" window. Choose the type of label you want to use.

Step 4

Type the address you want to use and click the "New Document" button. Proofread the document and then save it to your hard drive or network share.

Click on the "File" menu and choose "Print" from the menu. Click on the "Properties" button and click the "Paper/Quality" tab. Change the orientation to "Landscape" and click "OK" to start the print job.
