How Do I Download Music From a Computer to an SD Card?
By Michael Black
A secured digital (SD) card can hold a great deal of information, including music files. The memory size varies from card to card, and is written on the unit. Any SD card over 1 GB can hold a significant amount of music. Downloading music from your computer to this card is no different than downloading music onto a flash drive.
Step 1
Insert your SD card into the SD slot on your computer. Click "Open folder to view files" from the pop-up window that appears, or click the computer tab in the start menu and choose the SD card from the list of drives. This will open a window into which you can drag your music.
Step 2
Open whatever folder your music is stored in. Often your music will be stored in a folder simply titled "Music."
Step 3
Right-click the track or album you want to copy. Choose "Copy" from the menu.
Step 4
Right-click inside the SD card window and choose the "Paste" option. The music will then be pasted onto your SD card. Wait until the process is complete before moving on.
