How Do I Turn a Microsft Excel Spreadsheet Into a Chart?
By Bryan Perkins
A chart is a visual display of information. Microsoft Excel is a commonly used tool that enables you to convert columns of data into an easily analyzed visual representation. With just a few clicks you can transform your spreadsheet data so it is able to show comparisons, patterns, and trends at a single glance.
Open Microsoft Excel from the "Start" menu and wait for the application to load.
Enter the data you want to convert into a chart into the cells. Include labels for each column in row 1.
Click and drag from the top right cell to the bottom left cell to highlight all the data you want to include in the chart. Highlight the column label headings along with the data.
Click the "Insert" tab on the top of the screen.
Choose one of the chart templates from the drop down menus. As soon as you click a chart type it will automatically be inserted into the spreadsheet. You can double-click on the title of the chart to change it.
