How Do I Deposit a Check Into a PayPal Account?

PayPal is an online business that allows individuals and businesses to transfer money and make payments, all with the click of a mouse or tap of a button. In October 2010, PayPal added a new feature to PayPal Mobile that allows members to deposit a check into their PayPal account by simply taking a photo of the check through their iPhone 2.7 app. Although there is a delay before the money reaches your account, you may find with this simple new process you no longer have a need to visit your bank.
Log into your PayPal Mobile account on your iPhone using your password or PIN number. This will bring up the "Welcome" screen once you have successfully logged in.
Tap the "Tools" button at the bottom of the screen.
Tap "Add a Check" in the "Tools" menu.
Take a picture of the front and back of the check you wish to deposit. Submit the check for processing.
Wait for the screen to show the check was accepted. You will receive a transaction number and an "In Process" date. Tap "Continue" to return to the "Tools" menu.
Keep the check for at least 15 days to ensure it properly appears and stays in your account. Once you are certain the process was successful and there are no problems, you may then dispose of the check.

Tips
- Although PayPal is quick to remove money from your account for purchases, it can be slow to deposit money or transfer money into your account. Allow at least three to four business days for your deposit to appear.
