How to Disable Webroot Firewall

by Thomas King

Webroot is an Internet security company based out of Colorado. The company, founded in 1997, offers Internet security programs for businesses and home users. The Webroot Internet Security Essentials and Webroot Internet Security Complete programs include a firewall that's designed to monitor incoming data and filter out potentially unsafe data. Consequently, Webroot does not recommend that you disable the firewall. Nevertheless, if you want to use a different firewall or if the firewall is blocking legitimate data, disable it with a few clicks.

Launch the Webroot program.

Click "Edit Settings" under "PC Security" in the "Home" panel. The PC Security panel opens.

Click the "Firewall" tab.

Check the circle next to "Allow All Traffic." The Webroot Firewall is now disabled.
