What Devices Can Stream Netflix to Your TV?

Netflix's Watch Instantly is one of the most popular services for streaming movies and television shows on the Internet. However, you can also watch your Netflix streaming movies on your television as well. Several different devices do support Netflix's streaming video service, some of which you probably already own.
Game Consoles
Netflix streaming video is available on all three video game consoles currently on the market: Sony PlayStation 3, Microsoft Xbox 360 and Nintendo Wii. However, do note that you will need an Xbox Live account to access Netflix on an Xbox 360. Also, the Wii requires a special disk to play Netflix, but you can request one be sent to you free of charge with your paid account.
Streaming Players
Several standalone streaming video players are also compatible with Netflix's Watch Instantly service. Popular choices include Roku Players, Apple TV and Logitech Revue.
Blu-ray Players
Many new Blu-ray players now support Netflix Watch Instantly through a pre-installed app. These include players from large brands like Sony and Panasonic, as well as budget-priced models from Vizio and Insignia.
HDTVs
Several HDTVs also have a Netflix app pre-installed. These include models from LG, Samsung, Sanyo, Sony, Vizio and Panasonic. Some of these TVs also can connect to the Internet through Wi-Fi, which will make connecting it to your Netflix account even easier.
TiVo Digital Video Recorder
The popular TiVo Digital Video Recorder can also stream Netflix movies and television shows to your television. It is currently the only DVR with this feature.
