You get to choose the hardware you need and pick only the accessories and software you want to be included with your new laptop.
Go to the HP website by typing http://www.hp.com into the address bar at the top of your web browser.
Select "Laptops & Tablets" from the menu options at the left side of the page.
Choose a base model laptop, depending on your needs, from the options available.
Click on "Customize & Buy" from the menu options on the left.
Select the operating system you want.
Choose a processor.
Select the memory you need on your HP laptop.
Choose a hard drive.
Select an optical drive for playing CDs or DVDs.
Choose a wireless card for using the Internet while on the go.
Select a battery from the options available.
Choose accessories for use with your HP laptop computer.
Select different productivity software to be installed, depending on your needs.
Choose security software to protect your computer from viruses and worms.
Select theft protection.
Choose an extended warranty program.
Click on "Review & Buy" and follow the directions on the screen for checkout.
