How to Delete Names From My Contact List
By Jalisa Summerville
Creating a list of contacts in your phone makes it easier to contact people without the hassle of memorizing data, such as phone numbers or email addresses. Whether you've lost touch with a particular contact or need to reorganize your address book, deleting names from your contacts list is easy.
Tap the "Menu" soft key to illuminate the main home screen. Scroll and find the "Contacts" folder or "Address Book."
Press the "Contacts" or "Address Book" icon. Scroll through the list and highlight the contact you want to delete.
Tap the "Menu" key and select "Delete Contact" or a similarly named option. Some cell phones will prompt you to confirm the deletion. Tap "Yes" or "OK" when prompted. The contact is now deleted from your address book. Although the steps to delete contacts might be different, depending on your particular phone, the overall process is similar.
