How to Customize a Free Printable Award Certificate

by Greyson Ferguson

Sometimes a nice award certificate is appreciated, especially by younger children. You can create your own award certificate, but it can be challenging to do so, especially if you don't have the correct computer program or the right know-how. Luckily, there are some free online award certificates you can customize and print yourself.

Go to one of the links in the Resource section of this article. These are two websites that allow you to print free award certificates that you can customize either before or after you print. 123Certificates allows you to customize the information on the site, while Parenting Lee Hansing leaves the space blank so you can fill it in after the document has printed.

Select the category you want for your award, from reading and sports to holidays and birthdays.

Click on the certificate you want in the category. For Parenting Lee Hansing, doing so launches a pop-up window asking if you want to open or save the document. Select "Save" and the certificate downloads to your computer. In 123Certificates, clicking the certificate launches a new page where you can type in the achievement, the person's name, your name and the date.

Click "Make it!" and the certificate is created and opened in a new page. You can print this certificate off by clicking "File," followed by "Print." Print the certificate you downloaded by double-clicking the file (it is in a "Downloads" pop-up window). This opens the certificate. Click "File" and then "Print" and the certificate prints.

Write in the needed information for the Parenting Lee Hansing certificate.
