by ContributorUpdated December 09, 2019

Microsoft Office comes with Picture Manager, a photo-editing application. Picture Manager lets you crop pictures. You can crop pictures in a few steps.

Launch Microsoft Office Picture Manager by navigating to the "Start" menu. Then select "All Programs," "Microsoft Office," "Microsoft Office Tools" and "Microsoft Office Picture Manager." Go to the "File" menu and select "Locate Pictures" from the drop-down menu. Alternatively, navigate to your picture, right-click on the image, then select "Open With" and "Microsoft Office Picture Manager."

From the "Picture" menu, select "Crop." A black border frame subsequently surrounds the picture.

Click and hold on one of the black dash frames surrounding the picture. When you scroll over a dash frame, the mouse should change into a different shape. Drag the dash frame to the desired crop location. When you let go of the mouse, the area that shows the original picture will be your new picture and the shaded region will be cut out.

When done, click "OK." Your picture is now cropped. From the "File" menu, select "Save As" to save your picture.
