How to Create a Yahoo Email Account
By Mark Kennan
Yahoo is widely known for its search engine, but the company also runs one of the top Web-based email services on the Internet. Similar to Gmail, Hotmail and AOL Email, Yahoo mail is used by millions of computer users to send and receive email and to organize contacts. Having a Yahoo account also allows computer users to use other Yahoo features. Through Yahoo you can tracking stock portfolios, chat online and read local weather and news stories through the company's news feeds.
Launch a Web browser and go to the Yahoo email login and signup Web page (See Resources).
Click "Create New Account."
Complete the registration form with your name, birthday country, language and zip code. Type in a Yahoo ID for your email address, type in a password and then enter the password again for confirmation.
Fill in the Alternate Email field, and select and answer your security questions.
Type in the visual confirmation code.
Click "Continue" to be automatically logged in to Yahoo.
- Write down your account information in case you forget it.
- For a more secure password, use a mixture of capital and lowercase letters and numbers.
