How to Create a Group Email With AOL
By Editorial Team
Updated July 21, 2017
AOL email users who frequently send an email to a large group of the same recipients will benefit from creating an AOL email distribution list, often called a "group." These lists are easy to create. Once created, sending an email to the entire group is quick and easy.
Log into your AOL email account. You can do this by using your Internet browser and going to http://webmail.aol.com. There, you will find places to enter your username and password in the upper right-hand side of the screen. After entering this information, allow AOL email to completely load.
Click on the word "Contacts" on the left-hand side of the screen.
Click on the word "New" on the next screen. This will display a list of additional options. Click on "New List."
Enter a name for your new distribution list in the box next to "Distribution List Name."
Enter the list of email addresses you would like to include on this distribution list in the next box, labeled "Add Contacts." Separate individual email addresses with a comma.
Click "Create." You are ready to send an email to the entire group.
Click "Compose." In the "To" field, type in the name you gave your distribution list in Step 4 above. Compose your message and click send.
