How to Create a Bifold Brochure Using Adobe Illustrator

Adobe Illustrator provides you the tools to create brochures that look professional and well designed. With templates stored in Adobe Illustrator, you can easily design brochures for any purpose. Whether your brochure is for office meetings, school course work, health awareness or even for promoting your business, templates are readily available to aid you. With Adobe Illustrator and a few simple steps you will be on your way to creating your own bifold brochure.
Step 1
Open Adobe Illustrator and allow it to load completely. Select "New From Template," located to the right of your screen. The New From Templates dialog box will now load.
Step 2
Select "Blank Templates" from the drop-down list on the New From Templates dialog box. Press and hold the "CTRL" key and select "Brochure_Inside Blank" and "Brochure_Outside Blank." Select "New."
Step 3
Select "Place" in the "File" menu. Select the file name for the graphics or pictures to use in this brochure, then select "Insert." Click on and drag the graphic or picture to the desired location. Repeat this step for all graphics or pictures to be used on both the front and back of this brochure.
Step 4
Click and drag the "Text" tool from the toolbox. Position it in the desired area of the brochure where you will enter your text. After you are finished, simply click outside this area. Repeat this step for all text to be entered on the front and back of this brochure.
Step 5
Select "Save As" in the "File" menu. Enter a file name for this brochure. Select "Save." To print this bifold brochure, you will be printing on the front and back of one sheet of paper. Select "Print," located in the "File" menu, to print the front side of this brochure. Reinsert the sheet of paper back into your printer face up. Select "Print" again to print the back side of the brochure. Fold this brochure in half along the alignments on the front and back side of this brochure.
