How to Create an Avatar with a Hijab
By Julia Wells
Avatars are icons used to represent yourself online. Some people like to use abstract images to do so, while others prefer something a little more true to form. If you would like to incorporate your hijab into your avatar, there are several websites that will allow you to do so.
Visit the Yahoo! Avatars site and sign in. If you do not have a Yahoo! account, you can create one here.
Type "hijab" into the "Avatar Search" box and press the "Search" button. Click on the picture of the hijab. It will be transferred onto your avatar on the left.
Click on the tabs at the top of the page (such as Appearance, Apparel, Extras) to further customize your avatar. When you are done, click the "Save Changes" button located below your avatar.
Visit blessthischick.com. Click the word "here" on the text "To get to the World Famous Blessthischick Chick-making Machine.
Click the image of the blue hijab in the selection of hats and scarves on the right-hand side of the screen. It will be applied to your avatar in the center of the screen.
Continue to customize your avatar using the options on the screen. When you are done, click the button at the bottom-right corner of the screen.
- If you would like a ready-made avatar with a hijab, you can download one at the "Style Islam" website.
