How to Convert YouTube to WAV
By Art Corvelay
YouTube is a website where people can stream video content that is uploaded by others. YouTube video files are encoded in FLV, or Flash Video files. If you want to extract just the audio from a YouTube video, you can convert FLV files into WAV files. This process can be done if you have the right application.
Download and install the YouTube to WAV converter (see Resources).
Copy the YouTube link URL you would like to convert and paste the URL into the URL text box of the application.
Click the "+" button and the YouTube video will be downloaded to your desktop. You will need to download the YouTube video before converting it into the WAV format.
Click the down arrow and choose the output format you would like. For this conversion, choose WAV.
Click the converter button to start the conversion process. This button looks like a backwards "C" with an arrow on the end.
Choose the output file location once the conversion has finished. The word "Converted" will appear next to the file once the file has been properly converted.
