How to Convert Xps to Powerpoint

XPS (Open XML Paper Specification) is an extension for files written in a page description language and a fixed-document format originally created by Microsoft. Powerpoint is a commonly used presentation program developed by Microsoft, and is a key component of Microsoft's "Office" package. In order to convert from XPS to Powerpoint (PPT), a conversion program must be downloaded and used. Many of these programs are available for online download as free trial versions.
Conversion with Able2Extract XPS Converter v.6.0
Step 1
Download and install Able2Extract XPS Converter v.6.0 (see Resources).
Step 2
Run the conversion program on the desktop. Click the "Add File..." button. Select an XPS file for conversion. Click "Add."
Step 3
Click on the "Output Type" menu. Select "PPT (*.ppt)."
Step 4
Click the "Browse" button next to the "Output" field. Select a target destination for the converted PPT file. Click "OK."
Step 5
Click the "Convert" button to begin the conversion process.
Conversion with Free gDoc Creator
Step 1
Download and install Free gDoc Creator.
Step 2
Run the program on the desktop. Click the "Open..." button below the "Input" area. Select an XPS file to convert. Click "Open."
Step 3
Click on the "Document Type:" menu in the "Convert Format" area of the screen. Select "Microsoft Powerpoint."
Step 4
Click "Browse..." in the "Convert Format" area. Select a destination folder for the converted PPT file. Click "OK."
Step 5
Click the "Convert" button at the top-center of the window. Press the "X" button next to the "Convert" button at any time during the conversion process to stop.
