How to Convert WMA on a Mac

If you have Windows Media files (WMA) on your Mac, you need to convert them with an audio converter program that works with Mac computers. FLV Crunch is a freeware audio converter program that can be downloaded from the CNET Download Center. FLV Crunch is easy to use and can quickly convert your WMA files on your Mac into multiple file formats.


Visit the CNET Download Center to download and install FLV Crunch. It is freeware, so there is no fee to download the program.


Click the drop-down by Format to select your output file type. You can choose from MPEG 1, MPEG 2, MPEG 4, MOV, AAC, 3GP, MP3, Digital video, DivX, AVI and WMV.


Locate the area labeled Source Files. Click the Add button to select the WMA files that you want to convert.


Locate Destination Folder under the Source Files area. Click Change to select the destination location on your computer where the converted files saved will be saved.


Convert your WMA files by clicking Convert. It changes to read Stop while the files are converting, and the file status column updates the progress of each file. Click OK when the pop-up appears letting you know the conversion was a success. The converted files will be stored in the destination folder you selected.
