How to Convert TPL
By Mitchell White
The file extension TPL stands for "template." It's a text file used in many different applications and programs. It essentially saves certain settings used in the program and serves as a base template for the program to start with when it needs to make more text-type files. You can convert TPL to TXT, which is one of the most basic kinds of text formats and the easiest one to start with if you want to then convert it to a different format.
Click "Start" in Windows and select "(My) Computer."
Select the folder where the TPL file is located.
Right-click on the file and select "Rename." Type in a new name for your file and put the extension ".txt" on the end. So if the original file was named "File.TPL" change it to something like "File.txt" in order to complete the conversion.
