How to Convert a PDF From German to English

Converting a PDF file from German to English can be accomplished easily with some free online tools. You can choose to upload and translate your PDF file on the Web or download a free program that will let you convert the file right on your desktop. These methods will help you avoid pricey translation software and get the job done at no cost.

Translate on the Web

Open your Web browser and navigate to Google Translate.

Click "Upload a Document" and select the PDF file you want to convert.

Change the "Translate From" and "Translate To" pull-down menus to "German" and "English" respectively.

Click "Translate" to convert your PDF.

Translate on your Desktop

Navigate to Babylon and click download. Babylon works for both PC and Mac, but note that only the Windows version has a free trial at this time.

Go through the installation process for the program and choose the options you want. Run the installed program.

Click "Text Translation" and then click "Document Translation" to find the PDF you want translated on your computer.
