How to Convert a DVD IFO File Into MP4 for Free

A DVD contains many different types of files. These files include VOB, BUP and IFO files. The IFO files contain important information tracks and chapters, as well as aspect ratio information, which controls the size and dimensions of the picture. Many software programs can convert a DVD IFO file to an MP4, such as AVS Video Converter, DVD Ripper for Mac, and Daniusoft Best DVD Ripper.
AVS Video Converter
Download and install the latest version of AVS Video Converter (see "Resources" for download link).
Insert your DVD into your computer.
Open the AVS Video Converter. Click the "Browse" button and locate your IFO then open it.
Click the "To MP4" at the top of the application window. Type in a new name for the file or leave it as the original name, then click on "Convert Now!"
DVD Ripper for Mac
Download and install the free trial of DVD Ripper for Mac (see "Resources" for download link).
Insert your DVD into your computer.
Click on the "Load IFO" button at the top of the application window. Select your IFO files. Select "MP4" from the "Output Formats" drop-down menu. Click on "Convert" to start the conversion.
Daniusoft Best DVD Ripper
Download and install the latest version of Daniusoft Best DVD Ripper (see "Resources" for download link).
Insert your DVD into your computer.
Launch Daniusoft Best DVD Ripper. Select the "Load IFO Files" option under the "Add" button. The program will take a moment to open your files.
Click on the "Convert To" drop-down menu and select "MP4." Click the "Start" button and the conversion will begin.
