How to Convert AMR to WAV or MP3
By Art Corvelay
AMR is an audio file format that stands for adaptive multi-rate. This compression is used for mobile phones that are on the 3G network. These files, which are not very versatile, can be converted to other audio file formats that are more versatile. With the right software, you can convert AMR files into both WAV and MP3 files.
Download and install the Mobile Media Converter software. You can find a free download link in the additional resources section.
Click the "+" icon and add the AMR file you would like to convert into a WAV or MP3. You will be able to browse your desktop when you click the "+" icon.
Choose a location where you would like the output file to be saved. You can also rename the file in this step if you would like.
Select the output format. To do this, click "Conversion" and choose "MP3" or "WAV," depending on the output you would like.
Click the "Convert Now" button. The conversion process will take place.
Click "OK" when the conversion is complete. You will receive a confirmation message indicating that the conversion has successfully taken place.
