How to Connect a VCR to a Laptop Computer
By Marques Williams
If you want to watch your VHS tapes on your laptop, or if you want to transfer your VHS videos to you computer for editing, buying a USB tuner is the way to go. USB tuners allow you to connect your TV, VCR or DVD player to your computer for easy viewing.
Connect the USB tuner to your laptop. Plug one end of the USB cable to the USB port on the USB tuner and the other end to an open USB port on the laptop.
Connect the VCR to the USB tuner. Connect the S-Video cable to the appropriate output slot on the VCR and connect the other end to the USB tuner.
Turn on all of the devices. If drivers need to be installed, simply put the driver CD into the CD drive of your laptop. If no drivers are necessary, you laptop is now connected to your VCR.
