How to Connect Two Coaxial Video Cables Together to Extend the Cable Length
By Kirk Bennet
If you need to connect a coaxial video cable to a device and the cable isn't long enough, you can use a second coaxial cable to extend the length. Using two shorter cables to create a longer one is cheaper than buying a longer cable; plus, the cable you'd purchase would likely be shorter than the cable made from two shorter lengths. The two cables can be connected quickly and easily using a coaxial coupler.
Step 1
Purchase a coaxial coupler (see suggestions in the Resources section).
Step 2
Connect the first coaxial video cable to one end of the coaxial coupler.
Step 3
Connect the second coaxial video cable to the other end of the coaxial coupler.
