The Motorola RAZR features a removable memory card that you can use to store pictures and music. You can use its included USB sync cable and the necessary device drivers use your phone as a mass storage device, allowing you to transfer files between your phone and computer. In addition, you can charge your phone's battery while it is connected to your computer.

Step 1

Log in to your Windows administrator account. Download and install the USB storage and charging drivers from the Motorola website (see Resources). Restart your computer when the installation process completes.

Step 2

Connect your RAZR's sync cable to your phone and to a USB port on your PC. Leave your phone connected until the screen shows "Charge Complete" if you want to charge the phone's battery.

Step 3

Click "Start" and "Computer" if you want to manage files on your phone. Double click your phone's icon under "Devices With Removable Storage" to view a list of folders. Double click a folder to view its contents. Drag files from your phone's folders to your computer to transfer files to your PC. Drag files from your computer to your phone to put files on your phone.

Step 4

Click the "Safely Remove Hardware" icon in the Windows notification area. Select your RAZR on the devices list and click "Eject" to safely remove your phone.
