If you upgrade from a standard mouse to an optical cordless mouse, such as a Logitech optical mouse, you will no longer have to deal with tangled cords or stuck rolling balls. But before you can start using your Logitech optical mouse with your computer, you must first connect it. If you aren't tech savvy this may intimidate you, but you'll be pleased to learn that Logitech has designed the optical mouse to be very user friendly.
Turn off your computer. Make sure there are batteries in your Logitech mouse. Slide the battery door off of the back of the mouse and insert two AA batteries if necessary.
Insert the rectangular USB receiver that came with your mouse into an available USB port on your computer.
Turn on your computer and insert the included Logitech software disc into the computer drive. Follow the on-screen prompts to install the Logitech mouse software.
Press the "connect" button on the end of the receiver.
Turn the mouse over and press the small circular "connect" button on the bottom of the mouse.
Tips
- The "connect" button on the bottom of the Logitech mouse is a very small. You may need to use the end of a paperclip to depress it.
