How to Completely Clear Your Internet History Trail

Privacy is an important concern when using the Internet. If you use the Internet for work, to manage your finances or simply for communicating with loved ones, it is in your best interest to keep prying eyes away from your Internet usage history. Delete your browser cache and history periodically to ensure that your online privacy is protected.
Clearing Internet history in Internet Explorer
Click "Tools" and "Internet Options".
Click the "General" tab.
Click the "Delete" button under "Browsing history".
Clearing Internet history in Mozilla Firefox
Click "Tools" and "Clear Recent History".
Select "Everything" on the drop-down menu next to "Time range to clear".
Check all of the boxes under "Details" and click "Clear Now".
Clearing Internet history in Google Chrome
Click the wrench-shaped icon at the top of the screen and choose "Clear Browsing Data".
Check all of the boxes under "Obliterate the following items".
Select "Everything" using the drop-down menu next to "Clear data from this period" and click "Clear Browsing Data".
Clearing Internet history in Apple Safari
Click the gear-shaped icon at the top of the screen and choose "Reset Safari".
Check all of the boxes shown in the window.
