How to Clear the HP Queue
By Tiffany Garden
When you send a print job to your HP printer, it enters in a print queue. This queue displays the status of print jobs currently waiting to be processed by the printer. An HP printer may error out or the computer may have an issue that makes all of the print jobs in the queue unable to be processed. You can clear out the print queue to try to fix the issue and resume printing.
Click the "Start" button.
Type "services" into the search box and click the Service search result that appears. You can also access this through "Administrative Tools" in the Control Panel.
Right-click "Printer Spooler" and pick "Properties."
Click "Stop." Once the printer spooler service stops, the printer queue is cleared out. Click "Start" to start up the printer spooler service so the printer can receive printer jobs.
