How Do I Check a T-Mobile Order?

You’ve spent money on a fancy, new T-Mobile phone or accessory, and now you’re playing the waiting game. But you don't have to, because you can check the status of your T-Mobile order directly on the company’s website. And if your order has shipped, you can check its status via the website of the company T-Mobile used to ship it.

Check Your Order on the T-Mobile Website

Step 1

Log in to your account on the My T-Mobile website (link in Resources). Click the “Shop” link and then click the “Order status” link located in the Other Links section.

Step 2

Enter your order number and ZIP code in the provided fields. If your billing ZIP code and shipping ZIP code differ, use your billing ZIP code.

Click “Continue” to view the status of your T-Mobile order.

Check a USPS Shipment

Step 1

Visit the USPS tracking website (link in Resources).

Step 2

Enter the tracking number provided by T-Mobile in the “What’s your label (or receipt) number?” field. You can find this tracking number in the confirmation email T-Mobile sent you.

Click the “Find” button to check the shipping status of your T-Mobile order. If the order was shipped via USPS's Priority Mail Express service, you will be able to see point-by-point details of the shipment as it moves toward its destination. All other shipping methods show only the location and date of departure and arrival.

Check a UPS Shipment

Step 1

Visit the UPS tracking website (link in Resources). Click the “Track Packages & Freight” tab on the menu if it is not already selected.

Step 2

Click the “Track by Reference” tab on the left of the screen to expand the Track by Reference panel.

Step 3

Click the “Package” radio button and enter your 10-digit T-Mobile phone number in the Shipment Reference field. Use the following phone number format: XXX-XXX-XXXX.

Click the “Track” button to check the status of your order.

Tips

  • If you can’t remember your password to log in to your My T-Mobile account, click the “Forgot your password” link located beneath the Password field. You will be prompted to enter your mobile phone number and ZIP code and will then be led through a series of verification steps to reset your password. You can then select a new password for your account.
  • You can also track packages directly from the main USPS website. To do this, visit the main USPS website (link in Resources), hover over the “Quick Tools” icon in the upper-left corner, click your mouse in the “Track” field and enter your tracking number.
  • If you’re attempting to track a UPS order and entering your 10-digit phone number as a reference number doesn’t work, click the “Track by Number” button and enter the tracking number provided by T-Mobile in your confirmation email.
