How to Check When Someone Joined Facebook
By C.D. Crowder
Most information about a Facebook user is easy to find. The one thing not listed in his profile is the date he joined Facebook. However, if you are willing to search a little, the date is listed in the his Timeline. You may want to know when someone joined in order to suggest friends or share posts he may have missed. It is also entertaining to wish people a happy Facebook birthday.
Step 1
Log in to your Facebook account.
Step 2
Visit the desired user's profile. Either type the user's name into the search box or go to your own profile and open your friend list. Click the user's name to open his profile.
Step 3
Click one of the earliest years to the right side of the user's Timeline. Facebook lists the user's birth date and other important events the user may have listed. Facebook began in 2004, so only dates from 2004 to present are potential join dates.
Step 4
Scroll down the user's timeline. Click “Older Posts” if posts and events stop appearing. Use this approach instead of Step 3 or in addition to Step 3 to start your search from a specific year.
Step 5
Look for an event post that states “Joined Facebook.”
