Bluetooth, the technology that allows people to look like they are talking to themselves when using cell phone headsets, is useful for other purposes too, including networking your computer with Bluetooth-enabled devices like PDAs, phones and printers.
Turn on the wireless/Bluetooth switch on your laptop.
Click "Start," then "Control Panel," then "Network and Sharing Center" and finally "HP Wireless Assistant." The wireless devices that are installed on your laptop are displayed. Look for "Bluetooth."
Click Start and search for "Mobility." Click on "Windows Mobility Center." Look under "Integrated Wireless Devices" and verify Bluetooth is on.
Right-click on the Bluetooth icon in the taskbar to open the "Bluetooth Settings" menu. Under Options, check to allow Bluetooth devices to find and connect to the computer.
Click "Apply" and "OK." Turn on your Bluetooth device and wait for the detection and setup notification. Your device should be ready to use.
Tips
To manually scan for Bluetooth devices, right-click the Bluetooth icon and choose "Add a Bluetooth Device."
