How to Change the Television from Video Mode Without a Remote
By Bryan Roberts
Generally, people use their remote controls to switch between video modes on their televisions. In many cases, users will never change the TV away from their video mode because they have a cable box hooked up to their television, thus eliminating the need for traditional channel changing. In the event the television is on video mode and the television remote control is missing or damaged, all television manufacturers have installed two different ways to manually take the television out of video mode.
Step 1
Turn your television on. If it is in video mode, and no device is plugged in, the word "VIDEO" should appear in one of the top corners of the screen.
Step 2
Press the "INPUT" button located with the other buttons on your television. This button might also be called the "VIDEO" button. This button will switch between your television's video modes.
If there is no such button on your television, simply press one of the channel changing buttons.
Step 3
Look for the words "CH" followed by a number, or even just a number to appear in one of the top corners of your television. Once you see this, your TV has officially been switched from video mode.
