The LG Optimus enables you to manage all of your email accounts with your device. When you change the password to any of your email accounts, you will need to update the password on the LG Optimus. If you don’t update your password on your device, your device will not be able to log into the email account to retrieve and send mail.

Step 1

Tap the “Applications Launcher Key.” The Applications Launcher Key is located at the bottom of the screen, directly in the center of the toolbar. The Installed Apps screen opens.

Step 2

Tap the “Email” icon in the Apps screen. The Email app opens. Note that in later versions of the Android operating system, the icon is named “Mail.”

Step 3

Tap the downward-pointing arrow in the top left corner of the screen, and then tap the email address for which the password will be changed. The account changes to the selected account. If you only have one email account configured, your email app will open the default email account.

Step 4

Tap the “Menu” icon in the top right corner of the screen, and then tap “Settings.”

Step 5

Tap the “Account Settings” option. The Account Settings page for the email account opens.

Step 6

Scroll down to and tap on the “Password” field.

Step 7

Type the new password for the account, and then tap “Next.”

Step 8

Tap “Next” again to scroll through the remaining pages of the email settings for the account.

Step 9

Tap the “Finish Setup” option. The email account password is now changed on the phone.
