How to Change the Time on a JVC KDG140 Car Stereo
By William Pullman
The JVC KDG140 is an aftermarket car stereo you can install in your car to replace the factory installed radio. The display on the KDG140 provides various information about the CDs you play and radio stations programmed to the radio. In addition, the car stereo displays the current time. You need to set the correct time when you first install the radio and any time the unit loses power.
Step 1
Enter the main settings menu by pressing and holding the "Sel" button until the display reads "Demo." The "Sel" button is the first button in the horizontal row of buttons on the bottom of the control panel.
Step 2
Press the down arrow button until "Clock H" appears on the display. The arrow buttons are located on the left side of the control panel.
Step 3
Adjust the hour by turning the volume control knob to the right or left until the correct hour is shown. The volume control knob is found to the right of the arrow buttons.
Step 4
Change to "Clock M" using the down arrow button and adjust the minutes with the volume control knob.
Step 5
Save the new clock setting by pressing the "Sel" button.
