How to Change Your Item Location on eBay
By Danielle Fernandez
The self-proclaimed "world's marketplace," eBay gives anyone with an Internet connection an avenue to buy and sell goods on a global scale. The premise is simple: sellers post items for sale, buyers bid auction-style or purchase items outright, then the seller ships to the buyer. EBay policy states that sellers must accurately state the location their items will be shipped or picked up from, so it's important to provide changes to this information when applicable. You can modify current listings individually or make changes to the registered address for all future listings.
Changing Location of Current Listings
Step 1
Navigate to the eBay site. Hover your mouse over "My eBay" at the top right, then click "Selling." Alternately, you can click "My eBay" at the top right, then click the arrow next to "Selling" on the left menu, then click "All Selling" underneath.
Step 2
Find the item you wish to change and select "Revise" in the Actions drop-down menu. EBay allows bulk revisions for some listing information, but location modifications must be made to each listing individually.
Step 3
Click "Edit" on the right side of the Selling Preferences section and change the ZIP code specified in Item Location.
Step 4
Click "Continue."
Step 5
Review your changes and any pertinent fee information, then click "Submit Revisions."

Tips
- If you have a large quantity of items for which you need to change the location, it might be more efficient to utilize a third-party bulk auction editing application. You can compare available software, prices and features with a general keyword search on your favorite search engine.
Warnings
- EBay limits the changes you can make if there are less than 12 hours left until the end of your listing.
