How to Change the Font in a Blogger Header
By Brandy Alexander
The Blogger header is the top row section that spans across your profile page and contains the name of your blog along with any description text. This element automatically displays a default type size and color, but you can change this if you find that the design does not match your ideal page layout, or if you want to add customizations later on. Using the tools provided in your Blogger account, you can change the font in your Blogger header, as you prefer.
Step 1
Log in to your Blogger account and click the "Layout" link.
Step 2
Click the "Fonts and Colors" link at the top, select the "Blog Title Color" option and click your preferred shade in the color picker to change the color of the font in your header. Click the "Save Changes" button when done.
Step 3
Click the "Edit HTML" link, scroll to the "#header h1" section in the code, enter "font-family:" anywhere between the opening and closing curly brackets and type in the name of your preferred header font (for example, "geneva"). Further, enter one or two additional font names in the event that a viewer's Web browser does not display the first font listed. To illustrate:
header h1
{ font-family: geneva, arial, courier; }
Step 4
Click the "Preview" button to see your changes and then click the "Save Template" button to preserve them.
